In 2011 SILL will again simulcast its popular Thursday Global Issues III program. Global Issues III is a twelve lecture series that will run from January 13, 2011 to March 31, 2011.
SILL has experienced two successful seasons of simulcasting. In 2010 audiences at Plymouth Harbor, Sarasota Bay Club, Kobernick House and Freedom Plaza (Sun City Center) were able to enjoy the Global Issues III lecture series in real time as it was sent via the Internet from The Players Theatre in downtown Sarasota. In 2011 SILL will continue to simulcast Global Issues III to these institutions. SILL expects to add other venues during its 2011 season and will also initiate the simulcasting of Music Mondays.
Last season’s simulcast audience size averaged just under 70 across the aforementioned institutions, many of these attendees had no prior familiarity with SILL. Reports from Plymouth Harbor, Sarasota Bay Club, Kobernick House and Freedom Plaza indicate a high level of satisfaction and that most 2010 subscribers are expected back in 2011, and many of them will help form the core audience for Music Mondays simulcasts.
The continued expansion of simulcasting is part of SILL’s Long Range Plan and we welcome additional inquiries from interested communities.
